Location: Port of Miami, FloridaDescription: Working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) G&O is preparing an emergency response plan and typical retrofit countermeasures for the Port of Miami Bridge in Miami-Dade County, Florida.
Significant Facts:
- This study retrofits security/anti-terrorism precautions and details plans developed for new, secure inspection access points, restricting unauthorized access while providing authorized access for inspection, repair and other required tasks.
- The study also includes multi-hazard threat modeling, countermeasure and emergency response plans and procedures, threat evaluations, and the design and development of secure access plans for the Port of Miami bridge transportation infrastructure.

Project Services: Using security assessments and best practices, G&O is providing security planning, environmental management, and professional engineering services to assess bridges, and develop and design retrofit countermeasures against multi-hazards including terrorist attacks.
