Location: Miami Dade and Monroe Counties, FloridaDescription: Working with the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), G&O is providing natural hazard modeling, security planning, environmental management, and professional engineering services for the preparation of typical retrofit countermeasures against natural and manufactured multi-hazards for four segmental bridges on US 1, Monroe County, Florida.
Significant Facts:
- This project retrofits security/anti-terrorism precautions and details plans developed for new, secure inspection access points, restricting unauthorized access yet providing authorized access for inspection, repair and other required tasks.
- This project includes multi-hazard threat modeling, countermeasure plans and procedures, evaluations, and the design and development of secure access plans for segmental bridge transportation infrastructure.

Project Services: G&O is using security assessments and best practices to assess bridges, and develop and design retrofit countermeasures.
