Description: In accordance with the State Forest Conservation Technical Manual and the Baltimore City Supplement, G&O conducted a Forest Stand Delineation for a stream restoration project on an approximately 60-acre site in western Baltimore City. Work included a GPS specimen tree survey, natural resources inventory, forest characterization, and the preparation of a Forest Condition Narrative Report and detailed resource mapping.
Significant Facts:
- The Forest Stand Delineation included five separate stands within the site, based on subtle differences in stand composition, soil type and moisture regime, forest structure and condition, invasive species impacts, and human disturbance.
- A total of 13.5 acres of priority retention area and 384 specimen trees were documented on the site.
