Client/Owner: Maryland State Highway Administration

Description: Under this contract, G&O provides wetland delineation and permitting services on an as-needed basis. Wetlands and waters of the US are delineated according the US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) 1987 Federal Wetlands Delineation Manual, revised USACE guidance, regional supplements, and Classification of Wetlands and Deepwater Habitat of the United States (Cowardin et al, 1979). Wetlands functions and values are assessed in accordance with the New England District USACE The Highway Methodology Workbook Supplement: Wetland Functions and Values. Multiple task orders have been completed by our Environmental Sciences and Surveying departments.

Significant Facts:

  • G&O provided wetland and stream delineation services for a wetland enhancement project on 140 acre former agricultural site in Worcester County, Maryland.
  • G&O provided a wetland delineation, specimen tree survey, and permitting services for the MD 355 project site in Montgomery County, Maryland.

Maryland State Highway Administration Wetland Delineation and Permitting On-Call Contract

Project Services: G&O delineated approximately 16,000 linear feet of stream and 15 acres of wetlands in more than 50 different wetland and stream systems. Utilizing a GPS unit, G&O mapped approximately 2,594 linear feet of stream and 1.53 acres of wetlands in the project area.
