Description: G&O provided engineering, environmental, and cultural resource services for the proposed construction of a consolidated facility identified for closure by the Base Realignment and Closure (BRAC) process.

Significant Facts:
  • G&O, as part of the White Oak design team was presented with The FDA Commissioner's Special Citation Award for the design of the FDA Consolidation Master Plan, the CDER & CDRH Life Sciences Laboratory, and the CDER Office Building in Maryland.
  • The consolidation consisted of approximately 2 million SF of office and laboratory space for 6,000 employees at the Naval Surface Warfare Center.
