Description: The East Expansion of Perimeter Mall provided a new focal point for the mall, bringing new tenants such as Cheesecake Factory and Z-Gallerie. Directly facing Ashford Dunwoody Road, the new east entrance attracts shoppers and diners into the mall. G&O's most recent work at Perimeter Mall involved the demolition of J.C. Penney, to be replaced with a Dillard's department store. Two new restaurants were also incorporated into the new mall plan, Season's 52 and Wildfire.
Significant Facts:
- G&O developed innovative solutions to handle erosion control for a large backfill stockpile.
- Old trees within the parking lot were preserved to provide shade and character.
- Sidewalks and pedestrian routes were designed to guide pedestrians safely from bus stops through parking areas to entrances of the mall.
- The major expansion/renovation was an economic revitalizer, drawing more local residents and tourists to the mall and surrounding area.
