- Under an accelerated schedule, construction of the new stadium was completed in a record-breaking 17.5 months.
- G&O's design for stormwater management was particularly innovative and was awarded the Grand Award for Engineering from the Consulting Engineers Council of Maryland.
- An on-site historic fossil area was carefully preserved with adjacent stormwater management being diverted around these sensitive areas.
