G&O will be involved in collecting new digital flood hazard data, creating maps and other Risk MAP products, and promoting partnerships with local communities, states, and other groups to help reduce the risk of floods and improve flood planning in Region VII and across the country.
Mr. Zung has more than 10 years of private sector hydrologic and hydraulic engineering experience. During that time, he has worked on several projects for FEMA, including the Map Modernization (MapMod) program, National Flood Insurance program, and MapMod Digital Flood Insurance Rate Map program.

Mr. Zung earned a M.S. degree in Water Resources Science from the University of Kansas, and a B. S. degree in Geology from the University of Missouri-Rolla. He is a member of the Association of State Floodplain Managers, the Kansas Association of Floodplain Managers, and the Missouri Floodplain and Stormwater Managers Association.
