Greenhorne & O'Mara Participates in Duvall Wing of Prince George's County Courthouse Re-opening Ceremony
LAUREL, MD – May 5, 2009 – Engineering consulting firm Greenhorne & O'Mara (G&O) participated in the re-opening ceremony of the historic Duvall Wing of the Prince George's County (MD) Courthouse on March, 12, 2009. G&O has been providing engineering services in Prince George's County for almost 60 years.

G&O played a major role in the renovation and rehabilitation after fire destroyed the wing, serving as the County's Representative and Construction Manager. G&O assured contractor compliance with the contract documents and coordinated construction activities with the user. G&O administered the contract and monitor submittals, construction change directives, change orders, and applications for payment.

As part of the original scope of work for the renovation, G&O provided certified industrial hygienists, certified hazardous material managers, and environmental scientists to identify hazardous materials, design the hazardous material abatement portions of the project, and to supervise various aspects of the asbestos abatement.
