Greenhorne & O’Mara (G&O) Appoints Michael J. DeRosier, CLA, AICP as Manager for Northern Virginia Branch Location

LAUREL, MD – February 4, 2008 – Engineering consulting firm, Greenhorne & O'Mara (G&O), announces the appointment of Michael J. DeRosier, CLA, AICP as Branch Manager for its Chantilly-based Fairfax County, Virginia office. He recently joined G&O and directs land development operations in this growing region of Northern Virginia.

Under the leadership of Mr. DeRosier, G&O's Fairfax County office is providing engineering, planning, survey, and landscape architectural services for notable regional projects, which include two mixed-use projects that have been designed for "green" Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) certification. River Creek Village is a large mixed-use development in the Town of Leesburg, VA, and 2009 14th Street is an urban mixed-use development in Arlington, VA.

G&O's Senior Vice President of General Civil Services Tom Chicca, P.E. commented, "With 20 years of experience in the real estate site development industry in Northern Virginia, Mike's expertise provides our clients with the significant advantage of in-depth knowledge of regional land use, planning, and permitting. His well-rounded background in urban design, site engineering, landscape architecture, and leadership has been a great asset to G&O's Fairfax office."

Mr. DeRosier earned a BA in Landscape Architecture at Michigan State University. He is a member the American Planning Association (APA), is a Certified Landscape Architect (CLA), and is also certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP).
