LAUREL, MD – July 25, 2007 – National engineering consulting firm Greenhorne & O'Mara (G&O) has teamed with architectural firm Bullock Tice Associates and Eglin Properties, LLC, a joint venture between Dick Corporation and Hunt Development Group, for a $250 million Enhanced Use Lease (EUL) contract for the design, development, financing, and construction of the Emerald Coast Technology and Research Campus at Eglin Air Force Base in Northwest Florida. G&O will be providing engineering consulting services.
The project involves the ground lease of approximately 98 acres adjacent to the University of Florida's Research Education and Engineering Facility (REEF). The proposed development will include approximately 1.1 million square feet of office, technology, and research space, and will be supported by a conference center, a wellness center, a restaurant, two hotels, child care facility, and student housing.
