Richard Gaines, P.E. Joins Greenhorne & O'Mara (G&O) as Senior Project Manager for its Fairmont, West Virginia Engineering Design Group

LAUREL, MD – March 27, 2007 – In response to newly acquired contracts, engineering consulting firm Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. (G&O), announces the appointment of Richard Gaines, P.E., as Senior Project Manager, Transportation Engineering group. Working out of the Fairmont office, Mr. Gaines is responsible for directing land development projects, and leading the design of water distribution and pumping systems, and project permitting.

"We are very pleased to have Richard as part of our design team," said Steven A. Cain, P.E., Department Head of the Fairmont engineering group. "His thorough knowledge of a project's processes from initial budgeting and proposals to final design, permitting, and construction are a great asset to our team and to our clients."

Mr. Gaines has more than 19 years of experience in design, construction, and project management for schools, railroads, and other private land development projects. Mr. Gaines has a B.S. in Civil Engineering Technology from Fairmont State College, is a Professional Engineer in the Commonwealth of Virginia, and has applied for licensure in West Virginia. He is a member of the National Society of Professional Engineers, and in 2006 was chosen as the Engineer of the Year by the Myakka Chapter of the Florida Engineering Society.
