LAUREL, MD – January 31, 2007 – Engineering consulting firm Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. (G&O) announces the appointment of H. Edward Prescott, P.E., Vice President of Florida Operations for the Florida Transportation Group. Mr. Prescott will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of Florida Transportation operations statewide, with particular emphasis on Northwest Florida, including federal, state, and municipal government projects as well as private sector projects. Mr. Prescott will be located in G&O's Bonifay, Florida office.

With more than 30 years of experience in the transportation industry, Mr. Prescott has been one of the leaders in helping build the FDOT into one of the most progressive agencies in the nation. As District Secretary, he has been responsible for design, survey, traffic operations, planning, construction engineering and inspection, materials, and maintenance for FDOT's District Three, which extends from east of Tallahassee to west of Pensacola. He has a B.S. in Civil Engineering from Auburn University, and has obtained his Professional Engineering licenses in Florida and Alabama. Mr. Prescott has been active in representing FDOT with the Florida Institute of Consulting Engineers (FICE) and is affiliated with the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Transportation and Development Institute, and the American Management Association.
