LAUREL, MD – December 5, 2006 – In response to the increase in contracts awarded to the firm's West Palm Beach, FL General Civil Services (GCS) group, the engineering consulting firm Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc (G&O) announces the appointment of Mark Tomczyk to the position of Department Head, General Civil Services. Mr. Tomczyk is responsible for providing overall leadership and management to the department, acting as Project Manager on key projects, and for coordinating all marketing efforts for the group.

"He brings local Florida experience and expertise in all aspects of engineering and land planning issues relating to municipal and private clients. He is a great addition to our team."
With more than 16 years of experience in the industry, Mr. Tomczyk has directed technical design for stormwater management projects and utilities, floodplain analyses, erosion and sedimentation plans, and has acted as township engineer for several municipalities. He holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering and a M.S. in Environmental Engineering from the Pennsylvania State University, and is a registered Professional Engineer in Florida and Pennsylvania. Mr. Tomczyk is affiliated with the National Society of Professional Engineers and the American Society of Civil Engineers.
