LAUREL, MD – October 31, 2006 – Greenhorne & O'Mara (G&O) national engineering consulting firm, was chosen by the Society for Marketing Professional Services (SMPS) Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Chesapeake Chapters as the winner for Best Internal Company Communications in the 2006 Marketing Communications Awards Program for its Conference Room Naming Contest Web Site. Entries were judged by a panel of highly respected industry and business leaders representing the Washington, D.C., Virginia, and Chesapeake chapters in nine categories.
John J. Healey, Ph.D., P.E., G&O President and Chief Executive Officer said, "Our new national headquarters building represents a significant investment for us and particular attention was given to amenities for our employees. The contest was created to convey to our employees that they had a key role in establishing the character of the new facility with this Web site and the contest. And, of course, we also wanted it to be fun. The concept, design, and programming of the site were created in-house and the internal response to the highly visual and interactive site was fantastic. We are delighted to have had an equally rewarding response from SMPS."
