LAUREL, MD – May 22, 2006 – In response to the increase in contracts awarded to the firm's Survey group, Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. (G&O), engineering consulting firm, announces the appointment of Brian L. Wood, Division Manager, Surveys. Mr. Wood is responsible for coordinating federal surveying work company-wide, and all surveying operations in the headquarters office in Laurel, MD including federal, state, and municipal government projects and private sector projects.

With more than 29 years of experience in the surveying industry, Mr. Wood has worked on numerous projects for utilities, residential, airport, commercial, and some industrial projects. He has a B.S. in Land Surveying from Purdue University, and has obtained Professional Land Surveying licenses in seven states. Mr. Wood is affiliated with the American Congress of Surveying and Mapping (ACSM) and the National Society of Professional Surveyors (NSPS).
