LAUREL, MD – April 10, 2006 – In response to the increase in contracts awarded to the firm's Federal general civil engineering marketing group, Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. (G&O), engineering consulting firm, announces the appointment of Richard L. Gorman, P.L.S., AICP, as Senior Project Director, Federal Programs. Working from the national headquarters office in Laurel, MD Mr. Gorman will be responsible for coordinating the marketing and project management efforts for a variety of multi-discipline A/E and civil engineering projects throughout the Mid Atlantic and Southeast.

"With more than 30 years of industry expertise, and his work with nearly all the major branches of the Department of Defense, Rich's knowledge and experience will be of significant value to our federal clients, and will include military housing design-build projects, as well as Army Corps of Engineers projects in several districts."
Mr. Gorman's specialties include project and program management, roadway projects, master planning, water supply systems, wastewater collection systems, and land acquisition projects. He has a B.S. in Geography from California State University, is a Professional Land Surveyor and a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners. Mr. Gorman is affiliated with the American Planning Association, the American Society of Civil Engineers, and the Society of American Military Engineers.
