LAUREL, MD – March 23, 2006 – In response to the growing transportation needs in the Mid-Atlantic region, Greenhorne & O'Mara (G&O), engineering consulting firm, is pleased to announce the appointment of Frederick J. Wagner, P.E., as Senior Vice President, Mid-Atlantic Transportation. For the past 3 years, Mr. Wagner has served as the Regional Vice President for G&O's Mid-Atlantic transportation operations, where he was responsible for business development, marketing, and project management. In his new role, he will oversee all G&O transportation projects and operations in Delaware, Maryland, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.

"With the passage of the Safe, Accountable, Flexible and Efficient Transportation Equity Act (SAFETEA-LU), the demand for transportation planning, surveying, design engineering, and construction engineering services will be very strong in the next 3 years," said John J. "With Fred's solid transportation background and proven outstanding leadership, he is the right person to direct G&O's efforts to expand our transportation services in the Mid-Atlantic region."

With more than 25 years of industry experience, Mr. Wagner earned a Bachelor of Science degree and a Masters degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University. He is a registered Professional Engineer in Maryland and Delaware, and is a member of the American Society of Highway Engineers, the American Society of Civil Engineers, the Institute of Transportation Engineers, the Maryland Association of Engineers, and the County Engineers Association of Maryland. In 2005, he completed a 1-year term as President of the Maryland American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC).
