G&O and Konterra Realty LLC Host Ribbon Cutting Event for New National Headquarters Facility in Maryland

LAUREL, MD – March 10, 2006 – Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. (G&O), Maryland Governor Robert L. Ehrlich, Jr.; Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson; and other County and State officials took part in a ribbon cutting ceremony on Friday, March 3, 2006 to celebrate the completion of Greenhorne & O'Mara's (G&O) new national headquarters facility in Maryland. Konterra Realty LLC, project developer, co-sponsored the event with G&O.

Prince George's County Executive Jack Johnson commented, "I think what is most impressive is that Greenhorne & O'Mara has a 50-year history (in the County) and that shows me how much they value and respect their business and community partnerships."

In December 2005, G&O moved from its Greenbelt, Maryland headquarters and took occupancy of the three-story, $11.5 million building located at 6110 Frost Place, Laurel, Maryland. The new facility that houses approximately 200 of G&O's 600 employees is a 64,900 square foot, build-to-suit office building in the new Konterra at Sweitzer Lane office park development in Prince George's County, Maryland.

John J. Healey, Ph.D., P.E., Chairman, President and CEO of Greenhorne & O'Mara said of the event, "The presence of the pivotal leaders in Prince George's County and the State of Maryland at this celebration of G&O's new national headquarters validates our decision to remain in Maryland – and to remain in Prince George's County. Prince George's County and the State of Maryland provide firms such as G&O with the right environment for growth through responsible economic development, a supportive business environment, and provide our employees an excellent quality of life."

"G&O certainly has come a long way from the one-room office in a converted house in Hyattsville, Maryland where Marcus Greenhorne and I started the business in 1950," said Founder and Chairman Emeritus A. James O'Mara. "I am pleased that we were able to continue our tradition of maintaining our headquarters in Prince George's County, Maryland. I hope the new building serves G&O well as you continue into the millennium."
