LAUREL, MD – January 16, 2006 – In response to the growth in the Southeast and the increase in military programs and potential civil works projects in that region, Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. (G&O), engineering consulting firm, has expanded its services in that area and announces the addition of Bruce H. Laswell, P.E., as Senior Project Director, Southeast Federal Marketing to its Federal Programs group. Mr. Laswell will be responsible for heading G&O's initiative in the Southeast to support federal and Department of Defense (DoD) military programs and civil works projects. He will also play a prominent role in the company's efforts to respond to the water resources plans of state agencies and private sector clients.
"We are pleased to have Bruce on the G&O team," said John Voycik, P.E., AICP, Vice President, Federal Programs. "Due to recent national water resources concerns, we expect to see an increased need in the Southeast for federal/DoD civil works projects over the next few years. Bruce's expertise, particularly with the DoD's U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, makes him the right person to lead the expansion of our Federal Programs group."
Mr. Laswell has played key leadership roles in the engineering community. He has more than 30 years of leadership experience in operations, business development, marketing, and strategic planning for federal, state, local, and private clients. Mr. Laswell holds an M.B.A. from Long Island University, an M.S. in Civil Engineering from Stanford University, and a B.S. in Engineering from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point, and is a registered Professional Engineer in five states.
