Goodman presented Lamb Island Tributary Stormwater Treatment Project: A Demonstration Site for Agricultural Runoff Management and Best Management Practices. This presentation focused on the development, design and implementation of a cost effective operation and maintenance requirements alternative to minimize nutrient discharge to meet regulatory requirements for the South Florida Water District. This project is an important element in the overall ecosystem restoration of Lake Okeechobee and the Florida Everglades, and was among 16 others selected from the State of Florida. Over 1,000 municipal and government leaders, federal agency representatives, engineers, contractors, and consultants focused on innovative techniques for stormwater practices, research and testing, water quality monitoring, and program management.
