Greenhorne & O'Mara (G&O) Announces New Management Team in Fairfax, VA Branch
GREENBELT, MD – August 8, 2005 – Greenhorne & O'Mara, Inc. (G&O), engineering consulting firm, announces the appointment of a new management team in its Fairfax, Virginia branch office. The team was created to manage the increasing volume of civil engineering and planning services growth in G&O's Northern Virginia regional office.

G&O Division Manager W. Ben Burton, P.E., was recently appointed office manager, and will lead the efforts of the new management team. Mr. Burton, a civil engineering graduate of Virginia Tech, has over 32 years of design and management experience in Virginia transportation, land development, recreational, and public facility projects.

Mr. Burton's qualifications complement the expertise of the four other members of the new management team. Mr. Ivan G. Moody, R.L.S., recently joined G&O as Department Head of the office's land surveying section. Mr. Moody has more than 25 years experience in the surveying profession, providing services for government facilities as well as large private development and industrial projects.

William R. Ackman, Jr., P.E., DPE, is the new Department Head of Development Engineering. Mr. Ackman, with 20 years of professional experience, has designed and managed the civil engineering phases of numerous Northern Virginia government and private development projects, such as schools, road improvements, residential subdivisions, and retail and office developments.

With more than 40 years of experience in landscape architecture, land planning, and urban design, Mr. John J. Gattuso, ASLA, has been with G&O since 1998 and is in charge of the office's land planning and landscape architecture activities. Mr. Gattuso's breadth of expertise in the field encompasses such projects as recreation areas, golf courses, new communities, and commercial facilities. Patricia S. Rosend, AICP, LLA, joined G&O in March 2005 as a Senior Landscape Architect. With more than 10 years of experience in landscape design and planning, she has managed all phases of project development for commercial, residential, and large-scale facilities.
